Here are pictures of tow trucks. The second one is a truck that my customer had purchased used. The only thing that was changed in terms of graphics was the lettering on the door. He has since bought another used black tow truck and wanted it done the same way the first one was. So I had to recreate the graphics to match the first truck. Turned out pretty good. Got a sunburn along with the job today, was so beautiful here today. First nice Saturday in awhile. ( The pictures loaded backwards, the truck in the second picture is the original)

great work mate.. both match up really well.. (hot)

i reckon those graphics had to be harder to apply than they look. there are a few colours in each and each colour interlocks the other, did you layup together then fit or do it on site?

that sure is a beast of a truck.. i bet that thing is HUGE to stand next too…
(then again, a smart car is HUGE next to me 😮 😆 ) “a huge smart car i mean 😉
cant appreciate the size of those vehicles from the pictures. 😮

thank you for taking the time to show us mate.. great stuff!

The tow truck that I lettered is larger than the one that is copied. It has a 30ton lifting capacity. The original is a 20ton. He has a few of these, the first one that I lettered was in an accident and needs a new truck to put under the body. The colors were all layed individually. It actually went pretty smoothe, what takes the most time is cutting the vinyl for all of the doors on the truck body. Attached is another pic of one of his other trucks. This was my favorite to install, the paint was fairly new and nice and smoothe still. No dirt, dents, or rust to contend with. This is actuall parked in the same spot as the first picture, just 4 months earlier when we had snow on the ground. The yellow on the side of this truck is all reflective. She shines up nice in the dark. I wanted to put more on this truck, but he was going to have the boom painted black and then put more lettering on. Of course the boom is still blue and plain.

One of the most difficult things to do is ‘match up’
Customer always panning his eyes to see if there’s any difference
No room for artistic flair or license

    Job well done Kawy :thumbup2:

Luv to take one of those for a spin

another nice bit of work mate.. reflective yellow always glows like a bulb at night. good heave shadow and outline on that. some folk fail to do this when using yellow on white and you just loss the text from any distance.
another hell of a big truck.. 😮

john.. ill take the black one you take the white and ill race yeh! 😆 😆
