Sometimes I wonder why I just keep saying “yes” to these jobs 😕
Customer asked me to supply and fit these graphics on Thursday morning but can’t give me the dimensions acuratley till Tuesday morning 🙄
Still it’s only 65m of 1230mm wide vinyl I’ve got to cut weed and tape up in time ! Can’t decide how many sections to break the stripes down into but I’m leaning towards 3m lengths 😕 The trailers 46′ long so it looks a bit bigger in real life than it does here !

Hope I’ll be able to post a picture of the finished job in a couple of days or so.

Only two pairs of hands this week and only one until Wednesday 😕 so preparation of that lot is going to be a bit of a rush to say the least !
Just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope it’s not too windy 😀

Is this for transporting the 550 about Nigel? Guarenteed it’ll be spot on, mainly because I know you’re not going to leave site til it is 😉 How long have you got for the fit? And are you accompanied by ‘Fast Hand’ Emmett? :lol1:

I was s’posed to ring you today, but I’ve totally forgot why I was ringing you 🙄 It’ll come to me eventually.

    Cheers, Dewi

What colour is the trailer at the moment Nigel?

Yes Dewi it’s for the Ferarri – and yes I have the Emmett to help. I’ve got to get it done during the day on Thursday but I have to fit it on site at Mallory Park so there’s a couple of hours travelling out of the day before I start 🙄
It’s all the cutting and taping up I’m more concerned about getting done in time to be honest ! But as Marek said, at least it’s flat panels except for all the doors/lockers etc.
Good point about the colour McRod, knowing them it could have been silver ! But fortunately it’s dark blue so not a complete wrap this time – phew. Mind you in some ways a complete wrap might have been more straight forward to fit with the positioning etc.
Anyway time will tell how it turns out, keep your fingers crossed for me !

    Ah, thats a bonus 😉

We just finished a wagon and drag for a large furniture removal company. Fortunately it was simple straight lines on 45 degree angles.

I look forward to viewing the results 😉

The result of todays efforts ! We had great weather and so it was quite enjoyable but still a long day all in all.

All applied dry using Avery700pf film.

Dewi, you know I told you they had the F550 bumper to be redone ? Well they never did it themselves and I’ve now got four spares to do and a door too – all by monday lunchtime 😥 One of the bumpers is unpainted carbon fibre so I’m not sure how the vinyl will stick 😕

Funny you should say that, I was a little disapointed that the joints were a little more visible than I would like because the Avery 700pf film is quite transparent so the dark blue paint does have an effect on the shade. Guess I’m just a perfectionist though 😕

Thanks Jill – I’m glad it’s no longer on my jobs to do list either to be honest 😀

    Well done Nigel,
Do the colours represent a countries flag or is it just the choice of the guy with loads a money!

…tis a very good question Peter ! I asked the race team director what colour to use for the mid blue stripe and he said well it’s the colour of the blue in the Russian Flag ! I looked and discovered that the blue of the flag is really the colour of the truck body so I just took a flyer on choosing a colour that looked like it did in the proof I sent them !!
Hope the Russian bank sponsors like it or there may be a knock at the door any time 😉

    Great job well done Nigel

Did everything fit ok or did you have to modify any?

Neil, I was pretty pleased with the fit considering I’d never seen the trailer and was going on someone elses sizes (never a good idea, especially on this scale!) If you look at the original proof picture it’s nothing like the same trailer really and the actual one ended up being an extra 2′ longer too 🙂 The only thing I had to do was move the middle stripe down about 15mm so it went to the bottom of the panel far enough and the rest was perfect :thumbup2:

Blimey Nigel! 😮 It looks brilliant, but I had no idea it’d be that big! 😮 Even Emmett looks a bit daunted at that one :lol1:

Really smart work though, an excellent job as always! I know I’ve still got to send you that CD across, sorry for the delay. Trailer suits the car though, superb! 😀

    Chris 😀

The deck and tressels were hired from HSS pretty cheap and the multi steps I think you can get for about £100 from B&Q, Screwfix etc.

Thanks for your comments everyone 😀 Glad it’s all done !
