Like i’ve said elsewhere, the majority of my work to date has been via mail order for racers, clubs etc, so have very few pics, but here’s a few recent ones, which i feel pale in comparison to the standard of work i’ve seen on here so far, but here goes anyways !

i’m currently working on a shop, so will post some pics when i’m done, i’d rather do things slightly different to what the customer has insisted on, but will be happy for some constructive crit when i post it,

I love Dukes of Hazzard…you usually see the General Lee…that’s the first Rosco I have seen. Did you know that the perfoming artist Kid Rock owns the original General Lee. Another useless fact supplied by me. 😀

nice work mate & thank you for taking the time to post it.
your portfolio of work will build up in time. its always better getting to grips with the smaller stuff and building your way up, learning as you go along.

like the general lee ones, blast from the past eh… marek always wondered were the originals of shows like the dukes cars end up. kid rock? well you answered my thoughts so not entirely useless info mate 😉 :lol1:

in the vein of useless trivia, there are around 20-30 ‘original’ general lee’s around, most of them saved from scrap yards, where the other 300+ all went too !!!

not sure about the cop cars, i guess the figure is higher, but i think it was in the region of 400 1968/69/70 dodge chargers got trashed making the three tv series !

i’ll post pics of the General when finished,

Chris Moyles / Radio 1 drove the general lee, a-team van, the Delorean, Starky & Hutch and Kitt from John O Groats to Lands End during Comic Relief this year. Amazing cars from my younger days

the general lee was owned / driven by one of our club members,

we had out own scrap heap challenge that week, took a gold datsun laurel, rubbed it down, resprayed it white with masks on for the badges, fitted lights, decals and a siren (all in 24 very very long hours ) and turned it into a sheriff / cop car. it originally failed its mot at 4pm, you shoulda seen the mot testers face when we turned up with the same car in disguise !! we had intended to gatecrash the radio 1 convoy on route, the gits put the cars on a transported for most of the journey tho, so we didnt get to have so much fun !

re: working neked, i’m not too sure about that, i’m rather accident prone, and being as i use a scalpel alot ….. 😮 🙁

in relation to another thread i said i’d show some of my more intricate work,

here’s what i mean when i say some of my work is small, this sticker is only about 9″ long and the logo doesnt always weed particilarly well, some colour weed better than others, but ts often useful to have the scalpel in hand to ‘hold down’ bits that begin to lift,

    you’re right there Red,

flames only went on on thursday, they’re not as i wanted them, it was raining, windy, and the paint was not good, wouldnt stick anywhere near the edges so i had to trim it back by hand, not too bad on one side but on the other i had to ‘contour’ it around a lump which it just would not stay down on, he wanted the flames on for the show, dumb thing is…. he’ll be putin new doors n it in the next month of so !!

soon have pics of the general lee decals, just waiting for a pal to cut me the confederate flags (i cant cut bigger than 610 😥 ) and i’ll get em on the car !

ps, the jet cars are great, but for full effect, get yerself up the end of the pits by the finish line and wach em from there, when we go we usually park and set up there, watching that jet car coming at you, and passing only 20ft away at over 250mph is something else, much better than the fart and fire show at the start !!

We’d positioned ourselves on the bank not far from the finish line he cut the fuel right opposite where we were standing. 😮

    The boom soon followed 😎

Only complaint from the day were the damned cornflies they were everywhere 👿

finally got these sets finished !! had to sub the confederate flags out to a mate as i cant cut over 2ft wide ! the flags are 900+ x 1300+ mm ! they look huge in the flesh, but are actually measured from a proper dodge charger general lee that has a set already.

and…… my first banner !! done for the girlfriend who’s friend is leaving work, so unfortunately no money in it, but it was good to at last do one ! i used oracle 651, in the catalogue it says suitable for banner vinyl, and since these type of baners will not be used for long, i guess there’ll be no probs ??

just out of interest, i’ve been talking to the guy who owns the shop i signed about doing these for him, he doesnt ant to really ‘deal’ with them, instead he’ll just refer people to me and i’ll leave him a sample he can hang out on the bottom of the shop front, i was reckoning on about £40, £10 for the banner, say £10 for the vinyl (inc mark up) and about an hours labour, does that sound about right ?

Hey, RED DRAGON… i dunno what your taste in cars actually is, but i’ll be at the pod for the mopar nationals at the end of the month, unfortunately my car won’t be there, but i will hopefully have the cutter there making my fortune, well… tryin ! stop by ad say Hi if you’re there !
