    Hi Steve

Nice looking job………Is it all cut vinyl or did you print to top part.

    Regards

Looks good, nice and bright. A supplier I once worked for sold lustre vinyls and they were very smart. Is that the really sparkly metallic type stuff? I would imagine it looks even better in real life.

So that’s what you needed the Antique Olive Font for :lol1:

Looks good Steve, how long to apply? Any problems?

I love that sparkley stuff, would you believe I have used the amethyst on a fire truck?
Like the purple & yellow together too, nice and bright.

    Thanks Guys.. & Jill !

Lee, It’s all cut and layered. The Top is black, then yellow .then purple. I just put an Inline on the yellow, cut it in half and then bent each node at the top to give it the wave.

G & J, It’s not the Ultra Metallic, Avery has this Lustre with their regular metallics in blue and purple. It Looks just like Anodized Aluminum, No Flake at all.
I do use the Ultra Metallics quite a bit. FDC is a new brand that I’m using and their Ultra Mettalics are much nicer than Avery’s… Smoother and Shinier, but also a bit harder to cut and weed…. Kinda’ like the CArbon Fiber Vinyl.
Jill What color was the truck that you put that on?… Any pics? It looks sweet with white

Bryan, Yep, that’s what the font was for.. Thanks again.
The job went pretty normal, although it took longer than most vans. I only had a letter here and there to replace, nothing big.
I had a bit more time in layout due to copying his logo (had a pic of a Sign to go by)… and it was quite a bit of vinyl.

I spent 3.5 hours laying it out and meeting with the customer – with about 4 variations, and color combinations.
    2 hours to cut/weed/tape
7 hours to install… by myself. The patch on the door was a whole lot of little pieces.
I’m Happy to say i did about half of the first layers dry…. Still practicing. The second layers go on so easy wet and i rarely have problems sticking vinyl to vinyl, so until i get more efficient at registration marks i’ll probably do it like this

That looks great….. I think it will take me a good few years to get anywhere near that kind of class

    well done steve.

I love the lustre vinyl too, but spandex are dropping the supply here in oz of the green and yellow.

Does not leave a lot of colours left. I had a contract that used the amathyst, emerald and yellow. Not a happy client now that I have told him I can’t get it anymore 😥
