    Hi All

Not posted anything for a while – have been too busy – long may it continue!

Finished this van on Friday – pitty it had clouded over before I took the piccies, the orange and chrome looked superb in bright sunshine.

    Cheers
    Macky

Nice work Macky, did you put the chrome under the red or just as an outline, just askin ‘cos you got some wee double curves going on there, and I wouldn’t fancy getting the chrom to go round them.

    Cheers

    Hi Dave

The chrome outline includes backing and it wasn’t too bad getting it across the double curves, although I did cut the chrome at the sharp edges of the panel recesses – no way to get this stuff round those angles.

    Hi Matt

The chrome is only 1 to 2 year stuff, DS50 from APS. I can guarantee within a year he’ll want it all stripping and replacing with another brand so long term durability not a problem. This is already the 2nd time I’ve completely stripped and re-done this van. Last design I used 13 metres of R-Tape (Coburn) 7-year chrome at nearly £13 a metre – best chrome I’ve ever used but not really worth it for 6 months! The APS stuff was a lot cheaper.

    Thanks all for comments

    Cheers
