Since we’ve not posted any of our work for a while, I thought I would put up pictures of a van which we completed last week. It was the customer’s first van and he was delighted with how it turned out.

i do like the general idea and the customer is happy so all is well.

mr grumpy old git speaking now i would have liked the saw blade to have been drawn more symmetrical and i would have talked him out of the email address unless he insisted. customers always right 😉

i dont normally like hammers and things but that idea works well.

thanks for showing as all ideas for another day and yet another builders van

    Chris,

If you said this two years ago about the e-mail address on the van i would have agreed with you 100%, but in today’s age with the almost seemingly endless technology available to us on the road, I cannot stress enough how many people are requesting their e-maill adresses on their vehicles. I will go one further, about 2 weeks ago I was stopped in a parking lot when i saw 3 identical company vans stopped for a bite to eat. They had their email addresses on them and some horrible lettering job done. I took out my Blackberry, e-mailed them PDF of our sales brochure and company information just to see if we would get a bite from them. Sure enough, Monday morning we got a call from them wanting their vans done immediately. Just my .02 cents.

The van looks great, nice job (sorry for my ranting)

Nice. Very tidy and I think the logos in the boxes work really well. I also like the saw blade and am a fan of things like this in silver – no you see me now you don’t!

My only comment (sorry for being an ar*e) would be to align the email with the mob number on the door. Just my personal view and like I say good job, not wanting to offend!

Nice ………….. but why not align the email address and telephone number?

Think it would have looked better in line.
i would have made the tel number bigger and email smaller.
we all have different ideas on what a design should look like.
still, not to take away from what is a very well done job.

    cheers
    Ade 🙂

    email

its the address its self not the fact that its there.
if he had http://www.blackjoinery.co.uk then he would look more professional dont you think even if it was a single page site.

I agree. It costs next to nothing to register a domain. And if people want to email you they will go to the site.

Thanks for the comments. I have to admit, I agree that the email address and tel number should be aligned – think I’m going to divorce the fitter :lol1: :lol1:

I’m not usually too keen on this either but it worked out well this time. We did a van for an Irish builder a few months ago and when John discussed his requirements with him he said (IRISH ACCENT REQUIRED) "for fecks sake son, don’t put hammers and sh1te on it – if they can’t feckin read that I’m a feckin builder then I want feck. all to do with them"
