This client came to use hoping that we would have a solutions for them. They specialize in disaster cleanup such as major floods, hurricanes, earthquakes. They travel around the country in the Prevost Tour Bus and their equipment gets towed behind in the trailer. The Prevost Bus had graphics that are no longer supplied by the manufacturer so . . . heres where the fun began.

I set up a tri-pod mounted camera with a wide-angle lens and snapped a couple of photos of the sides of the bus and its rear. I then imported the files into Illustrator where I traced out the bus graphics and saved them to a vector file for later use. After all the measurements and the logo design was complete, we were ready to setup the production files with the graphics copied from the photos. The client was blown away by the similarity and most people would never know the difference unless they were told how it was done. Now they can save the world one disaster at a time and travel in style while doing so.

Nice one George, I would have thought you would have got distortion with the wide angle lens, I would have used standard lens and taken from a distance.

    Looks great, well done.

    Dave,

Normally that would have happened but I was close enough to use it without distortion of the graphics I needed to copy, the ends of the picture were a little distorted though. we didnt have enough room in our parking lot for a regular lens tho, this bus was MASSIVE. The sides expanded outwards for the living quarters — it had a whirlpool spa in the master bathroom.
