Excellent work David! Loved the vans but extremely impressed with the signs,I’ve been looking into starting to produce such signs but wouldn’t know were to start really. Any tips besides getting me a professional electrician?

Really good work, the vans are really well laid out – particularly the "Firebelly" – some tricky bits there, but I also like the signs best – good use of spacing and great halo illumination

    that says it.

love the design that has gone in to the heaven sign have to ask was this all your concept or were you given a clue first.
does partly illuminated count as requiring planing as a full sign does.

    thanks

Utter Pants Macky, you should be ashamed posting them 😀

But seriously…just awsome work, the Heaven & earth shop is great.
All very inspirational…who comes up with the ideas Dave.

I think most of us look at your work and think why don’t I get jobs like that 😕

    Hi All

Thank you for the kind comments.

In reply to some questions/comments we come up with all the design ideas, we will try to propose at least 3 fundamentally different designs to each enquiry, a basic regular sign but at least two different signs with some design twist whether this be lighting , colour, layout or all three. 9 times out of 10 they go for the more expensive option.

With regards to layout we never forget it’s an advert and it’s no good if people can’t read it – I know thats a bit basic but whenever we come up with a design idea thats the first test.

The ‘Angels’ arch looks like a single panel on the photo but it is actual formed over a timber frame so it’s a 3D shape with top and bottom sides clad in Dibond. The whole thing fixed to the fascia with some black coloured ali angle.

The Heaven on Earth sign has a trough light as well as the LED halo round the design shape. But had it just been the LED halo then from a planning point of view I don’t think there is such a thing as partial illumination, it’s just illuminated requiring normal permissions.

We baked the recesses on the Firebelly LDV for about 3 hours to ensure no pop-outs. Why have LDV persisted with such rubbish recesses on a new van!! Also the panels feel like they are made of tin foil.

    Thanks again
    Macky
