    Good day all.

You emailed the client and the garage not to wax the vehicle.

Vehicle arrives waxed – what do you do?

    De-wax?

    Rebook after how long?

    Other?

Depends what sort of wax we are talking.

We have rejected vehicles in the past and told them to take it to a proper valet company and get it taken off. We explain we are just sticking the vinyl to wax, won’t last etc…

however some waxes are so soft and I would imagine cheap (although am no expert) that a quick wipe with tardis and it’s off. Last one was a campervan back in summer. 15 minutes and it was good to go and the boy payed an extra £40.

As Chris has said, sometimes the wax isn’t more than a cheap polish coat and can be removed easily enough, while others are far from easy!

Obviously, you are only needing to remove the areas that have graphics but if this was a wrap or part wrap and graphics, I would probably decline to do it unless some form of disclaimer was signed stating any issues of the graphics coming away would be chargeable for both labour and the replacement graphics.
