  • vectorizing a jpeg image can anyone help

Posted by paddy on April 26, 2003 at 9:07 pm

I have been sent a jpeg image that my customer wants replicating in vinyl so he can put it on the side of his landrover.

I have spent many hours playing with this image but cant get it anywhere near the quality required for cutting out.

Would I be better getting it printed onto vinyl and if so can anyone give me a quote for doing so.

    Size is about 400mm high.

He also wants some A4 size and possibly smaller images to sell in his shop.

    hi paddy..
that logo in those sizes would not cut i dont think. there is two much detail for it to be cut that small in vinyl.
printing it would be the best option. the larger size could be cut but you would need to be pretty good at the digitising. i have thought many times about offering digitising as a service in the shop. but havent had time to..
    sorry mate 😉

    I agree with Rob,

    Printing that’s the only answer!

If you want, send the file through and I’ll run it through my PC600 for a small fee 😉

this is as good as I can get it after about 5 hours of playing around with different software, hope he likes it otherwise I’ll be giving you a call for some printing.
