This customer started out with just wanting some simple text + logo on his van which he was quoted £250-300, he then appears a few days later with some photos of his van coloured in with what he now wants 🙄 flood coated side panels, flood coated back window, full colour print & laminated logo x4

So what would you charge guys, is £400 more realistic now?

I gave a ball park out on a swb relay. Very similar layout without the lower strip. I said £350 – 400. Having said that I haven’t got the job yet but I won’t be doing it for much less. 😉

    Cheers

all the white text that was going to be cut out of the blue, he now wants black..arghhh

Should I cut it all in oracal black now and apply on top which means loads more fitting time & the extra material cost or is it best to print & laminate it all now?

I just quoted on a job similar and got it, nothing on the front tho and just cut letters on the strips and on the back, I charged £350 and got the job. So i would say your bang on there, although I would probably quote it at £450 if paying 50% up front or £395 if paying in advance, just me tho it works for me

I would have applied the white text on top anyway, far easier to flood coat as a single
colour rather than a knock out. and extra material and fitting time would be next to nothing, as it is I would still use vinyl for the flood and text and just do the graphic as a contour cut print. it will work out quicker, and cheaper.
BTW if that’s an impact outline, you need to physicaly measure the tailgate, otherwise your graphic will be far to big 🙁
