Van Graphics: The Flower Shop
Posted by Steve Broughton on August 2, 2004 at 2:00 pmanother original name 😕 what is it with folk round here, no bloomin imagination as is demonstrated when the owner asked ME if I had any pictures of flowers for her van 🙄 “well you’re the one with a shop full of them!” :lol1: So I said give me a bunch of your favourite flowers and I’ll photograph them. She gave me 8 flippin roses, 8 😕 , what can you do honestly 🙄 ah well this is what I came up with.

Smart van 😀
Does the print wrap around the panel or is it contour cut? Bizarre question I know, but just wondered how it was done 😀

Dewi in my best Ron the Manager voice “Mercedes Vito…………… panels ……………. vehicle wrapping ……………….. bloody nightmare!”
No I gave her the choice between ordinary digi vinyl and wrap, told her the difference in price, she went for the ordinary so I just stretched it a little bit around the corners and cut it so its part contour cut, and to be honest I trust doing it like this than vehicle wrap on all those 90 degree (almost) edges.
Rob as for the printing I use a guy in Spalding that does a trade only service for me, decent price and the rep fetches and delivers it to me all in the price, don’t ask me what type of machine all I know is its a big un, the print quality is superb. For me a trade supplier is much preferable than buying my own machine, partly do to the fact that I may be signmaking down under in a couple of years. 😉

Well she finally decided to have the building done, had to be carefull this building is 600 years old so I had to be nice (for a change) to the local planning bods and when i mentioned things like wood and gold leaf and used words like signwritten by hand with paint (only my 2nd one in 8 years) they were quite happy.

nice work steve thanks for showing mate…
at a glance i said to myself, “hmmm must have used a cherry picker to get that big one at the top done?” then i looked again… “DOH! 😮 ”😳 😉

Steve,
That is so cool!
You are all so lucky to have so much history around you.
That place would probably be a McD’s if it was here.

Nice job there Steve its a shame the snooker hall next door didn’t take
