    Looks really clean and clear

But should a mobile number not have 11 numbers in it? 😉

    Real purty.
I think I would have added a purple outline to the chrome for better legibility, but it looks elegant on its own.
I still don’t know why folks insist on two phone numbers over there!
That way you would not have to put MOB or TEL :lol1:

i agree with jill about the outline also watch your kerning on the telephone number its a bit too much 😀 how long did it take you to do? 😀

because the “cowboys in a trade” use mobile phone numbers
and the phone number gives you the location.

The Fax: numbers are the ones that I find pointless.

Del, I am really puzzled, and you will have to forgive me for asking this…..

Earlier today, you asked a question about how to make an outline around lettering, and then you show us a cracking bit of work like this van-so how can you not know about outlines?

Sorry, but you are obviously very capable as a designer, outlines are simple, and as I said, I’m puzzled 😮

    Hi Lorraine.

I asked about doing outlines like months ago.. i think someone picked up on the post and and added to it, showing at a reacent post…

i guess somthing like that 😕

    Hi Nicola.

took about 5 hours to do both sides.

i did say it would be better with an outline but thats how she wanted it…oh well, im happy if she is 😀

Del, great stuff mate.. and dry too… Rob will be pleased! See, all that worry paid off didn’t it. They get easier from here mate.

You have every right to be proud as punch. Of course, you’ll have to out do yourself on the next one :lol1:

Just a tip. If you are going to use a short term poly mirror finish, cut the same text out again in a clear, say 551, and place it over the chrome/gold text like a laminate. It is easy to do it the clear wet, and with a felt pad, but the life is extended, it stops scratching, and the gloss is 1000 times better. Just a thought….

That poly will be a mongrel to remove in 6 months.

Jill makes a good point too. The outline would have given you a nice touch, but would have made the removal of the poly a lot easier. Still, customer got what she wanted, and she was happy. That’s the best you can wish for. 😉

You can get 5 year chrome Cherwells I think I got mine from not cheap but at least it will last and everyone seems to recommend overlaying it on another layer.

    Like the design.
