    hi

i’m researching the flatbed with roll to roll printer in one body as the attached photo with UK onsite support.

What is the pro and con , compared to separate flatbed and roll to roll printers?

Any good or bad experiences, worthy to consider ?

    thanks

I think there are lots of things you need to take into account when comparing printers rather than just the scope of applications.
    e.g.
if you intend to print vehicle wraps, then I would advise against it.
i think you need to pen out the primary day to day uses and see how well it performs and fits with them.

Always a compromise with these machines, it will do most stuff well but you wont get the benefit of the vacuum of a true flatbed so if a board is slightly warped it wont hold down. With rolll to roll its usually tension thats the problem but I would say it will do most substrates ok. If you want to get into board printing it is a gateway but you will have problems with head strikes if the board is not flat (in my experience, Vutek LX)
