    Hi everyone.
    I have a quandary.
Avery has come out with an air release version of the excellent 900 series vinyl, but they only sell it in 1500mm wide.
    My plotter is 1200 wide.
The local supplier was doing a very good special on this material, so I have bought ten meters each of some commonly used colours for stock.
However I need to cut it down to a size for plotting.
Would I be better off to cut it down the middle so I get 2 x 750mm widths of each colour, or should I cut it to 1200 and 300mm?

    Anybody 🙄

    Simon.

Can you not move the media within the plotter?

Our graphtec will take a 1600 roll, but the pinch rollers only reach to 1300. You can put the vinyl in off centre and then move it across to use the other side. If that makes sense.

id leave them full size and then just cut to fit the jobs as they come in

    David
Roland plotter actually plots 1195 and can fit 1370 just.
Jean. You are thinking laterally. :lol1:

Depends on the work you generally do using that sort of vinyl. so I would say look at the sort of job you generally do with that particular type of vinyl & then cut accordingly, you may even find that cutting 1000mm & 500mm gives you best use of what you have
