• Using Shadowlab

I am trying to create a shadow using shadowlab, but I always get a rectangle as the background so can’t place it on top of other objects. How do I get rid of the rectangle?

    Cheers

Dave very new to signlab but select both objects then go to shadowlab then select outside and then select Manual on left, from the drop down box select just the part you want a shadow on this will then stop you getting a box

The box is there because the shadow is a soft shadow (i.e. rendered as opposed to vector drawn) – if you view it in colour (instead of wireframe) the box will no longer be visible. Naturally, you cannot cut the shadow – this image needs to be printed.

The box will only be there if you dont select all the parts and then select the part that needs a shadow from shadowlab
