  • Useful ladders suitable for stairs

    Hi All

I seem to keep finding myself in situations where I am fitting near or over stairs etc and even on slopes sometimes and wondered if there was a miracle ladder out there I haven’t found yet that you can recommend.

I’m not looking for something you’ve just seen but would like to hear from anybody who has used something that is good over stairs or multi level surfaces etc and even adjustable legs for slopes etc.

I have a job coming up that is lots of cut graphics up a stairway wall so looking for something of quality.

    Thanks

    Warren

I have used these for about ten years now
    http://www.littlegiantladder.com/
very robust, but have a wide base, so not for narrow stairs,
they also convert to a pair of tressles, and a normal ladder

A 3 way step ladder works fine, I’ve used then for decorating on a few occasions, needed especially when doing high stairways.

Just edited this as we’d posted at the same time Peter, have to admit the one you have is a lot better thing than the basic one I’ve got.

Those are great Peter, what size do you recommend?

do you have a trestle and what do you use on it if not the original?

    cheers

Warren have a look at the Hailo Combination ladders as well, I have 2 sets and think they are great for most of the work I have done.

Warren, I have the"classic" set I think it is the 19 ft ladder when extended.
I have a youngmans board from my scaffold tower that I use with the ladders.
the optional board I think comes with an extra brace for the inner set of ladders.
but I find them ok without it.
