urgent pricing help
Hi all,
Not done any “signs” for a long time and have just made up three, they are 5mm white foamex with simple black 9800 mactac vinyl. All lettering no images sizes as follows:
1 x 4’x2′
1 x 4′ x 3’6″
1 x 2′ x 18,1/2″Just need to know what you lot would be charging for this sort of thing. I dont have to fit them either.

rough guestimate bout £100 plus vat the lot £40 each two bigs plus £20 for smaller one, guess materials cost £20, hard to say without seeing tho

Hate to do it but bought the boards in ready cut to size………… £42.50 + vat not cheap i know but i dont do much of this sort of thing anymore so no option, vinyl cheap as chips.

sheet of 8 x 4 5mm would cost you about £25. cut yourself and youve got some left for next time, eay to do straight edge and sharp knife, although I use a big desk top cutter for simplicity.
Thinking about it further I would poss charge a little more to pay for the whole sheet on this job, then any offcuts are a bonus ie £25 plus say £5 vinyls x 4 = £120 – depends on your market
But as youve spent the money now charge what you can get for it

Thanks for the reply mate, i used to hold the stuff in stock when i was doing a lot of this type of thing. But as i said dont do much now but the customer is local and asked if i could do them for them. You know what its like….. dont like to turn anything away. Anyway i pay a little more than normal for the boards but only ordered them this morning from supplier and they arrived this afternoon so i guess you expect to pay a little more for that kind of service, and as i didnt have any in stock i didnt have a lot of choice. -
Just recievd 5mm foam board 8×4 for £18.75 from europoint and they will cut to size for free
Going on that i would be charging £100 max

iain if thats just a one sheet order and includes delivery thats a good price, but most local suppliers wont charge that and of course racer got it PDQ

Hi guys,
Yea i aint to bothered about what i could have got it for as i am aware that if i ordered full sheets i would have payed a lot less. This used to be how i bought this stuff but as i said above i very rarely use it now and so dont stock it.
All i was wondering is what the going rate for the size of “sign” that ive made is at the moment.Thanks for the input though!

I would sell ’em at £120 + vat.
By the way why do you guys pay so much for foamex?
