  • Urgent advice needed Regarding Removing Contravision Vinyl

Posted by Glenn Sharp on September 11, 2019 at 7:51 am

    Hi all

We’ve been asked to remove some contravision vinyl which was applied around 18 months ago

It’s the only contravison job we have ever done so we have never had to remove it before

Only thing is, the customer needs it removing today and I need to work out whether we have the time to do it or not

Does it remove easily or is it a pain??

    Cheers

Usually really easy, if it doesn’t peel off then a scraper will get rid of it quick

Ditto Alex – I’ve removed it from flat glass and it comes off ok and yes a bladed window scraper will help. The window will probably need cleaning too to remove any residue.

We do these all the time for a local theatre. Biggest window/print is 4.5m x 2.3m and we strip and the clean that in about 45 minutes.

Thank you all for the advice

A job that I had envisaged taking at least 3 hours was done in an hour

A very appreciative customer as a result
