  • UKSB Servers Down for over an hour!

This is just a quick apology for uksignboards.com, associated websites and resources going down for well over an hour tonight.

This had nothing to do with us as such and our hands were tied in doing anything to rectify the problem.

Basically our web hosts had some sort of major hardware failure and every single Dedicated server that they host "worldwide" went down too…
It took me some time getting thru to their support teams due to their phone lines being jam packed as a result. in the end i was told the problem and that i would just have to sit it out with everyone else. Thankfully things appear back to normal now and we can get on with it… 😀

anyway, for what its worth, i do apologise for the inconvenience it may have caused you.

Your correct Graeme, ive just had a look mate…
amongst several other notices regarding the problem theres this one…
I see they are stating it was software, when i was actually told it was hardware. never the less, sorted now, which is a relief…

    From Facebook

    1&1 Internet, Inc.
At 2pm EST, a software error caused another network misconfiguration. As a consequence, 1&1 Dedicated and Virtual Servers from our customers are not available on the Internet. The problem affects only customers using a 1&1 dedicated, cloud or virtual server.

Our engineers have identified the source of the problem and are working on a final resolution. We expect the first servers to be back online soon.

The vast majority of customers with hosting packages (shared / Dual Hosting / MyWebsite / Mail) were not affected.
