  • UK SIGN PRODUCTS Anybody bought anything?

Bought a few things from uksignproducts.co.uk a week or so ago, nothing huge just a top up of eyelets, application fluid etc paid for Express delivery still received nothing. Now the phones are not being answered and the emails are bouncing back.

Has anybody else dealt with them recently?

I can’t give you any feedback on the company. But if your desperate for the eyelets
Give Hanolex a call and ask for SP11 eyelets they will fit your machine.

I do not want to set off alarm bells nor bad mouth a site I know nothing about.
However, there was a UK website selling similar type products and the same scenario was posted here on the boards about 12+ months ago.
i.e. taking payments and not fulfilling orders and not answering the phone etc.

Please update this thread if you do get your products and reason for the delay. Just in the off chance, there is a reasonable explanation for it all.

A quick search and the company was only founded in December and the Director has his fingers in many pies. Not that there is anything wrong with this but seems odd. Also they state they cannot take PayPal, which again seems odd.

    I spotted that also.

The company and website have been trading for a number of years however as we have from them in the past. However the fact that the company has now ‘relaunched’ in December seems odd.

I will update the thread should I receive an explanation however I don’t hold out much hope….

    UPDATE.

The company in question have called me to apologise for missing my order. The bounced emails, disconnected online form and unanswered phone calls couldn’t be explained to my satisfaction but they are sending my order out immediately.

I would call ahead before using this website in future however.

We had our building ISP, Gamma (Tier one) fail on Friday – got a stack load of production done, as no interwebs for distraction https://www.theregister.co.uk/2020/01/31/uk_internet_outages/) .
If you, or a supplier, don’t have expensive resillient comms, then email, and voip phones can disappear. And cellular often connects through to the same fubar’d backhaul.

I try to avoid answering phones, on principal.

With respect, any company that cannot be contacted by phone, email or online submission form for 2 weeks, has absolutely no place selling products online as ‘Express Delivery’ and taking payment upfront via their website.

They’ve delivered my goods today. Half the order is missing, cant contact them because, phones/email/online still don’t work.

Yet yesterday I was told they’d simply missed my order and knew nothing of any phone issues.

You live and learn but I’d avoid this website like the plague from now on.

Apologies David, I’d missed the two week bit – that sort of delay really shouldn’t happen, and can really screw with scheduling.

You can get a 34mmx8ft ash boat pole on (e)bay for twenty four quid, so as long as you stay 2550mm away from the ‘puter, you should be in safe range.
