    Ian my only concern if it is made using composite. If wind got behind it I would think the top reverse return would be a weak point.

    I have attached a variation of the same idea, obviously you have to take into account the ally angle thickness away from the wall as it will make the return shorter than the bottom return.

    Tim,
    If you are fixing the tray to the angles on the top and bottom returns, is it really necessary to then fix all the way through the angle at the top? If you fix the angles on the wall first and then rivet the tray to them it will save the extra fold on the tray at the top.

    Steve the pic was in reference to not being able to access the top edge due to an overhang from brickwork etc and having to fix from the front.

    Ah yes see what you mean, I suppose if you were certain that the very top wasn’t going to be seen you could still leave out the extra fold.
