Got a job to put a logo onto a truck side (rigid body, not curtain) and the only colours that match perfectly are Metamarks translucent vinyls.

Any ideas if it will do the job? It only has to last a few weeks then it’s coming off.
I pulled a bit off the swatch and stuck it to a white surface and it seemed fine. The way I see it, if I clean the truck properly to make sure any blemishes don’t show through then why not? Or am I missing something?

Yes used the orange translucent from metamark as it was a close match to a wrap film we used in the rear doors, and much cheaper for all the text/logos on the sides.

Not had any complaints its been on years now.

Thanks David, just as I thought. I might just give it a go. Funnily enough I’m also looking at the orange.

only thing I would say.. I presume it’s a white gelo-coat fibregalss body? any vinyl will still like poop to a blanket so A, get it right first time and B, give some thought to the removal as it’s never a five minute job on fibreglass in my experience!!

transluscent vinyls may also change colour slightly due to the colour of the truck, what looks white may not be a brilliant white and may affet the finished look to some degree. I have used them for certain effects over the years and what were three year vinylos were still trundling around 5yrs later in good condition (as a passing glance).
