  • Transit Custom, Vinyl Panel in the recessed area, advice needed please?

I’ve been asked to quote to do a panel infill on a LWB transit custom, I’ve done this before using wrapcut but only on flattish panels, not the bulging out panels that these vans have got, back door panels in particular.
Am I right in saying that it needs to be cast vinyl? and will it be a 2 man job. Thanks in advance for any help.

1 man job, good quality polymeric & laminate is sufficient for a job like that Gordon, use wrapping magnets, easy for 1 person to do.

All depends on your experience to be honest, we always use a dedicated wrap vinyl unless asked otherwise for warranty reasons. Ive wrapped panel inserts and even bonnets/roofs with spot vinyl!

A good quality vinyl will make the job alot easier.
As said above if you havent already. Get yourself some magnets, one of the most helpful tools you could have.

Thanks for the tips there folks, did it with Metamark 7 series and worked a treat, although it took a bit of stretching to do the back door panels as they have a bit of a bulge towards the outsides so I hope it stays put.
