    Very fruity Phil,

did you do the artwork?. I like the way the trailer is on the trailer, so to speak.

Can I ask, when doing the back doors, do you remove the locking bars etc, or just work round them?

Hi Peter, Chris, yes we did the artwork in house and the locking bars were left in position on this trailer as it was about 4 years old. If it had been brand new we would have removed them.

    Thanks Phil,
so next question, how do you get the print under the bar, and cut out the retaining plate, so that it looks good, If its a trade secret, no worries.

    Nice job Phil.

I did a truck back a while ago, it was new, but I couldn’t get the torx screws out to remove the locking bars. The ‘nut’ on the outside kept spinning in the hole, and being a round head, I couldn’t grip it. Whats the secret? Finished up working around them, but the job was not as good 🙁

Hi Shane, the trick is, with a new trailer – pick up the phone and speak directly to the manufacturer, find out the likelyhood of any problems and then base your call on their specialist advice.

another nice BIG wrap mate… well done phil.

constructive crit: probably just a self preference but i prefer the back design to the sides. I’m not keen on the truck in the background because it distracts me from reading the text a bit. hard for me to explain i just think that on the rear where it is absent the wording is more legible/focal.
having a second look it maybe the logos on side too that’s distracting me…
anyway, ignore me mate… i am babbling out loud and making no sense…
another impressive big vehicle to add to your list.

how are you finding your new printer? running costs, pros’ and cons etc?

when you ran this job, did you run it in one length and cut to sections or print it in verticle sections?
if you printed in big sections did you laminate it? i know allot of these big type of trucks are NOT laminated….

sorry for all the questions mate, just doing allot of hoemwork on machines just now as signuk draws nearer. 😀

thank you for taking the time to post your work.

Hi Rob, the rip tiled it all down for us into 11 panels per side and yes it’s all liquid laminated.

Well, we’ve had to do things like this before, when working with digital – not wrapping we just fold the backing paper half way, then pull it through, then remove the paper while spreading, hard to explain although it is simply done.
