I had an interesting day Monday.
A regional TV network here was doing a piece on Signs. It was on a 1hr show called Helptv.

They had asked Susan from NAIT (she’s the program head for the Sign Arts program at the College.) to be involved. She would focus on the Education aspect of the industry. The producer wondered if she could suggest someone to do a traditional signmaking techniques segment… this was last Thursday.
Monday we shot the LIVE broadcast between 1:00 and 2:00. Bing, bang boom it was done, and I lived to tell the story.
Considering I had a lot of content to cover in 3.5 to 4 minutes, it went pretty well.
Here’s what we covered. I gave the Hostess a little on my background, the Letterhead movement in a nut shell, my perspective on how the industry has changed, the director wanted Jenny to do some hands on stuff, so we sized a cut out letter, we gilded a letter, we discussed and applied a pounce pattern, we painted a letter. No pressure… LOL.
Here’s a pic and the video link for my segment.

Almost showtime… It’s going to be LIVE? [Eek!]

hey Duncan, that was fantastic. Not camera shy at all, you make sound like you done presenting before… i am impressed.

Without thread re-directing, after watching SignDog, click "More From: letterdawg" and watch the Mike Mayers song, very good!

    Ya did good SignDog.
I like when she asks "Did you do this at NAIT back in the 70s?"
like it was about a million years ago.
    🙂

Hey I was there when that Mike Meyer song was taped!
I was too busy watching to see you filming.
What a blast, gotta love Jack Norton.
Remember Lennig doing those daily backdrops?
    Love….Jill
