traditional signage: gold leaf
Posted by Neil Davey on March 11, 2005 at 7:03 pmHi
Just finished lettering this honours board in goldleaf. 44 names all 5/8 inch tall. *hair*
Had to use one of my small brushes on this one!
Cheers Neil

A man after my own heart, Did one for the local sailing club only to write ‘Commodes’ instead of ‘Commodores’……………I am well known luckily and people still remind me three years on!! (:)

oh man that’s gotta hurt doing? 😮 :lol1:
seriously great work mate, you have the patients of a saint… top notch 😉
the reason i say this… years ago when we started out we had an old Gerber 4b (Jill may know what I’m talking about here 😉 )
being in a town centre we get loads of winners boards and that sorta thing to do, even years on new winners. having to “then” cut line after line, then line them up individually was a bloomin nightmare! 😮
THAT WAS IN GOLD VINYL 🙁
this is in gold leaf… like i said mate. patients of a saint… brill….thanks for taking the time to post your work 😉

Will you marry me, Neil?

(and vinyl woulda been a PITA to weed) -
Hey Jill its not a leap year!! 😀
But thanks anyway!
Dewi, it took around 7 hours on and off over 2 days. deadline was today and as usual left it till the last minute, I’ll never learn :lol1:
