  • Trade Only Enraving service recommendation?

    Posted by Warren Beard on January 18, 2011 at 10:45 am

    Hi

    I am looking for a recommendation and not a quote, I need to know of a "trade only" company that can do large panels in engraved steel and painted.

    They have them currently and need new ones with new branding so there must be a company out there doing them at this size and I hope somebody will know who they are.

    cheers

    erm, not sure, can you?

    Basically what I am after is this;

    exterior grade metal, I need it coated to an RAL blue and then the letters paint filled with a lighter blue. If a router can do it then that’s fine, don’t know what the difference is between the 2 with regards to metal and this type of work, always thought it had to be engraved.

    It is simple lettering only, digi logo will be applied on top.

    Do you think router will be an option in this case as that will open up a few more options for suppliers (and maybe explain how it was done before)

    cheers

    i would imagine most trade router / flat cut letter services capable of doing it.
    some ide imagine wont due to the time involved in it, or not something they get involved in, but can do it.

    there’s a bunch of them on the Sign Toolbar, but also fabricut on homepage "might" be able to help.

    I did try one but they couldn’t get the size of metal required (same as current one that’s up so must be available somewhere) I’ll try some others

    cheers

    Hi Warren what you could do is powder coat the overall panel which would be precut to the outside profile then machine out the text on the router then colour fill it with the lighter blue quite straight forward we could do this for you if you still need it
