I will soon lose the very useful facility to pop in to my local material supplier with an offcut and trim it using their wall saw, (they are moving premises). I am looking along the lines of a Keencut Excaliber.

I am limited on space ( workshop is only 22ft x 12ft, and already houses two cutters, bench and computers etc.

Wondered if anyone was using this type of cutter and if so what their thoughts were on them. Or if any alternatives are available.

Hope this is in the right section…
    Many thanks

We use a Keencut Big Bench system 3m jobbie and find it very useful for cutting board, pop up’s, pull ups etc

We use one of the older models which was misleadingly sold as being suitable for cutting composite. Well it does cut it but even with their upgrade mod it still veers out of square as the cut progresses. I believe the latest ones are better.
For foam board etc it’s invaluable and we wouldn’t be without it.
Allow for the best part of an 8ft panel to stick out at the RH side when siting.
It also makes a great job of trimming mounted graphics with a perfect edge.

Thanks for the replies… Was primarily to be used for cutting composite and foam.
Mainly trimming offcuts down, as opposed to full sheets, get those cut by supplier.
So now undecided. Seemed an ideal, dust free cutting system.

Back to the drawing board I guess.

    Cheers
