topic: I maybe uninstalling CorelX3
Well over the last few weeks I have had issues with running CorelX3, it is amazing too see that program actually has quite a lot of bugs. The first one seems to be handling large files and sending them to print (after patching) Corel will Crash to desktop while sending a file to print (not all files just a few). The other problems I have had are mainly the Publish to PDF command which we have been using sucessfully to print all this time in Corel 11, the Colours appear not to match the Corel 11 with the same settings, Also when I send files to the RIP it crashes the RIP. The other crazy problem is PDF settings do not get stored correctly, if you choose a profile like PDFX1a and then change settings from CMYK to Native in the last screen, it doesn’t save them when you try to give them a name. I have actually managed to track down the PDF settings and worked out how to edit them by hand. Also this week we managed to fail in loading some CorelX3 files and had to do a Corel reset and then it worked. Another item I did notice and didn’t really believe is CorelX3 has a slower re-draw then Corel 11 or 12, it takes ages to re-draw the screen, you get used to it but it is slower.
I do like Corel a lot, but now seriously thinking about going back to 11 or 12, but all the files are now in CorelX3 format so would cause a little headache.
There u go, looking forward to patches but I am about to go in and try and figure out yet again which part of a corel draw file is crashing the RIP
Shame
Wonder what other people think of CorelX3 problems?
