Did anyone see Top Gear on Sunday
They showed two tower blocks across the road from me, being blown up.
Top Gear had an old pick up truck hoisted to the top of one of the blocks before blowing it up.
The bet was on whether this motor’s engine would still start up after the tower was blown up!! (hot)
Anyway they blew the tower up and would you believe it they found the ol’ wreck and a mechanic, with only a few tools allowed, was able to start the engine!!
We weren’t allowed to get too close but the wife took a picture with the digital camera whilst I used the video camera, just before the main collapse of the first tower.
I’d send a piccy but I don’t think you can using this forum

I did amazing, did you see the last episode as well? Amongst other things they bunged it in the sea for a few hours too!
What are they building in the place of the old Nelson Mandela blocks John?

I didn’t see that but the wife told me they had just put this car through hell (hot) (hot) including submersing in the sea and something about burning as well
But the amazing thing was that they didn’t just get the engine going they drove it into the TV studio!!! 😮
At the time of the blast we saw the helicopter hovering but were unaware of what was going on as far TV coverage was concerned

Oh! They have been building new homes around the area….and very nice they are too!
My wife’s ‘x’ mother in law had lived in the tower block for over 25 years
