    Nice one Jilly.

Speaking of power lines…..I saw something the other day that I haven’t seen since the 70s: a pair of running shoes with the laces tied together, slung over a power line. People just don’t do that any more. I wonder, why?

Have I veered off subject somewhat?

You’re right Andy – and why is it on a typical Monday morning you can drive down any street in Britain and find a single training shoe lying in the middle of the road?.. What’s all that about??

you should drive through pollock, royston, parkhead and many more in glasgow mate… they have dozens of trainers slung over the lines all over the place… some even have the kids still in them. 😕

phill, what about the single glove on the spiked fence? 😮 whos is it? :lol1:

    Nice photo Jill.
We had a lovely day today on the West coast. The storm has moved on and left us with some beautiful blue skies. Ever notice how much more blue the sky looks after a storm has passed?
Andy, over here shoes on telephone wires sometimes mark gang territories. Although, I did throw a pair of my moms’ running shoes on a wire once, little did I know she still wore them. 😳

Here tennies on the power lines mean one of 2 things:
They mark a drug dealer’s house
    OR
After a teen boy diddles a girl he throws her shoes over the power lines and makes her walk home barefoot
    (but hopefully not pregnant)
Waiting on the storms here….tomorrow it’s supposed to snow.

Beautiful photo Jill, we havent seen the sun for a few days now, struggling through 8 inches of snow and frozen rain. Had great fun sledging and skiing even if I did fall off 6 or 7 times :lol1:

    funny you say that !

really though, i remember that day, i’d caught nothing sensible in about 4 hours, was thinking of packing up, then i decided to get out on of the kids rods (the short one closest) and plop it in about 20ft from the shore, just cos i could, wasnt until i started to wind it in to pack up, some twenty mins later, that i nice bog 1 1/2lb flounder had offered itse;f for lunch, i declined that day and let him swim happily away !!!

i love sunsets, dunno why, got loads of pics around somewhere, a great one from the dartford bridge if i can find it.

cant find that one ! here’s a couple from the ferry back from the isle of wight last summer.

One of the great things I found with the digital camera is that I can break the rule of taking photos facing into the sun.

Here are a 3 of my favorites from my time as a photographer on a local shoot.
