Seen the news here today. The riots in France are a cause for concern no doubt.
Keep your collective heads down.
Our federal police arrested some militant muslims here in Sydney and Melbourne in the last few days.
Now the muslim community are saying they have been unfairly targeted and threatening riots too.
They forget of course, that bombs and chemicals the same as those in the london bombings were found in the homes raided. And they ignore the fact that guns and ammo was found in their cars too.
I am not sure what they mean by ‘unfairly targeted’. I thought it sounded pretty fair to me, given that it has been a 2 year investigation.
Hopefully it will not get to that stage here, but I am not holding my breath!

Shane, the world over, it’s a mess. I hope it does not end up Muslims v Others, I also hope that nobody is detained without trial as the UK goverment want to do. Then we will be the same as the regimes we are supposed to be against. Shouldnt really be discussing it here, All that will happen is that it will develop into a racist issue.

I know what you mean Peter, and think you know me well enough to know that it is not my intention to incite that sort of thing. It was not meant to be offensive, and I readily apologise to anyone that found it so..
I do watch the news and reflect on the innocent parties tho. I see 600 cars have been torched in the last 12 days of riots. Lots of innocent families are paying a heavy financial toll there.
Unfortunately, when the 911 tragedy unfolded some muslims openly here supported, even celebrated the actions of a few extremests. Now, the whole muslim community is paying the price, with everyone assuming guilt.
Our PM was on the tV tonight telling australians that you are innocent until proven guilty. Not sure that too many of the racists amongst us will listen tho.
