Whats the correct way to moth ball the printer for 2 weeks holiday?
Cheers

Yeah I was wondering the same thing, Greg.
I have a Roland sp540v, leaving it for 4 weeks.
I was just going to do a clean, make sure the capping stations are spotless and soak some cleaning fluid into the sponges, then leave it with the main power on.

Yeah same here. Ive done a custody wash and nozzle and will leave it on but not sure if thats enough?

Hi Guys
I just got a new JV33 and the guy who installed told me to do a nozzle wash, set it for say 5 minutes, start it and about 30 seconds into it switch the machine off, that way it leaves the head soaking in the fluid and wont clog.
You may have to do a refresh, set this for 30 minutes, after that has been done do a hard clean and then a test print and all should be ok

Hi Greg,
Put the machine into a nozzle wash, set the time for five mins, wait until the head has come to a stop then turn the power off at the side of the machine. This will stop the machine from turning on and cleaning itself, but the head will be kept wet while you’re away.
On return you will need to do one or two HARD CLEANS then a test print to check the head is still firing on all nozzles.
NOZZLE WASH:
FUNCTION MAINTENANCE ST. MAINTENANCE NOZZLE WASH PRESS ENTER
The machine will ask to clean the wiper (clean the wiper) then press ENTER, it will then ask to FILL THE LIQUID, on this screen press FUNCTION. Watch the cap to check that fluid is coming out of the metal pipe. The fluid needs to reach the top of the cap to the point it is almost spilling over (doesn’t matter if it actually does spill over a bit). When full, press ENTER, it will ask you to SET A LEAVING TIME, enter five mins then press ENTER. Wait for head to stop moving, then the power off at the side of the machine with the white on/off switch near the power cable.
That should do the trick, anything else, just shout 😀

Make that three for the nozzle wash/switch off thing, as Bob and Martin said. Alternatively you could empty the ink and wash the lines out completely but probably a little over the top.
By the way, welcome to the forum Martin :thumbup2:
