I’ve been learning a lot from the message board from the last couple of months, thanks to all who contribute, and decided it was time to introduce myself and start to participate…

I know Mike The Sign likes people to tell a bit about themselves so here I go.

My name is Dave Arch, just started up my own business, window tinting and signwriting. I had no experience and I am completely self taught, except what I learnt from here. I’m 20 and now completely skint after buying a PC-600 and everything that goes with it.

    Ok thats all for now

Hi Dave and welcome to the UK signboards where I’m sure you’ll find a wealth of knowledge to assist you in your business. I have found these boards to be a fantastic resource for my own business, I just wish this existed seven years ago when I first started.

I see you are a colorcamm user. I’d be interested in your views on this machine. If you search through some of the older posts you’ll find a great deal of discussion about these printers – you may have some pointers of your own you’d like to add to the many discussions that have gone on.

Good luck with your business 😀

Hi Dave, welcome to the site…You’re gonna love it.
Whoa self taught… did you teach yourself to tint as well? Man what a learning curve that one would have been. Don’t forget to post us some piccies of your work.

    Hi Dave

As others have said before me, welcome. As a realtively self taught bod myself, I can appreciate the challenges you have faced – and perhaps some of those that you have yet to face.

There are lots of very helpful and highly skilled people here on this board who will share with you their knowledge and experience.

    Good luck.

    Lo Archie,

I find myself in the same position as yourself. Just bought a PC600 too. Had it for a couple of weeks and seems to be working alright.

Noticed a few things about it already and this site has been a great help. The likes of Mike, Rob, Alan, Dave and all the other regular posters here really try to help you out if your stuck (as some of them are gonna find out !!)

Cheers anyway and welcome to the forum.

    Goopta.

SP1 man its a wicked Beast.

Hi Dave and a belated welcome to the site, there are a lot of self taught people on the boards so your not on your own, some like Mike with a lot more experience than most of us.
