currently we have two vans… one is a VW transporter and the other is an Iveco Daily 35?11 (i think)

The Iveco is our bigger van, it is a MWB hi-top and we use this as our main van. We are planning on just getting it thru the MOT and letting it go.

So, what we are looking for is another big van, but we need to know inside dimensions as we all know, signs are very long!

We haven’t measured it tonight, but we think we can move 3.9mtr’s in the back of the van, so anyone got any measurements of their vans?

would be mainly interested in 2-5 year old :-
    MERCEDES
    VW CRAFTER
    IVECO

how about fuel consumption, is there any ones to look out for?

    thanks

Mid-wheel base sprinter with good purpose built roof-rack will cater for 9/10 of your signage needs. well does ours anyway… if the van drives around the country on long hauls or the van is often carrying a weight then get the biggest engine size you can afford. its all well saving a bit on purchase with smaller engine but its false economy when your vans never out of the petrol station. we did this some years ago and since have went for the larger engines.
the rear of a MWB sprinter will easily hold a 10ft x 1.5m dibond sheet easily… unless you are constantly shifting longer builtup sign panels, i dont see much point in anythng bigger/longer. if so its just a case of moving to the LWB. but we seldom do and thats where the roof rack comes in very handy for road sign posts etc

I have not long bought an Iveco daily Extra Long Wheel Base & Extra High Top (Rare). The bulkhead to backdoor is 4.6m Long and 2.1 High. These things are massive inside and I think they are the biggest panel van?

    Hope this helps
