• Time for a Change

    Hi all,
Over the last few weeks I have beein considering my future with my current position as a signmaker. My current employers philosophy of “profit before quality” is really getting to me. I understand that profit is needed, but to blatenly rip off people and supplying sub-standerd signage hardley seems fair.
Anyway I have decided that it is time to move on to pastures new. I’m looking to get more into the design and digital side of things (as this seems to be my strong point). I would also like to get into hand painted signage and screen printing. I would also consider re-locating to acheive this.
So, if any-one knows of something, somewhere, please get in touch.

I’m competant in a vast amount of software: Photoshop7, corel 11, omega 2.0, signlab and many more.

    Thanks a lot everyone,

    Steve

Hope something comes up for you

So the old man has the monopoly in your area

What does he do? Cost a job at an extortionate price so the guy has to go down the road to be ‘not so much ripped off’? 😆

    Hang in there
    Something will come up

    …Hi Steve…

It’s good that you have this urge to move on…someone very wise (and very close to me) once said: “…the reason we are entrepenuers whilst others aren’t – is that we not only trust our gut-instinct but act on it too!…” Sounds to me that you’re about ready to do what you feel is right… 😕

Good luck and keep us informed of what is happening.

    more soon

    Steve,

Someone else also said, ‘You become what you accept to be’

Lot of truth in that, I would not begin to bore you with the career changes I have had in my life but believe me I can wear the ‘been there, done that’ shirt with pride and i have not done bad all in all.
