Andrew great pics sir! Really nice to have met you at the show 🙂
Mr Andy Gorman above me it’s a shame you missed the show a lot of people were looking forward to meeting you inc myself.
Think they wanted to stand at the bar and listen to some of your German jokes. Heard the saying ”punch em in the face” mentioned on more than one occasion :lol1:
Hopefully next year.

That looks good Andrew. Do you plan on finishing it?
-Marek -
One shot paints? What was it painted on?
I really need to get some brushes and give it a go. I’ve done a few paintings, but no lettering.

-MarekThey leave painted aluminium offcuts lying about and you just pick one up….. put some OneShot in one of the wee paper cups and give it a try.
Enjoyed the day…
First time painting letters…….Cheers

Looks like you were having a great time working with the masters
Did they get you to clean up properly after you finished

Thanks for the pics mate. Would have been great just being amongst them. I am sure the banter would have been entertaining.
What is a ceilidh. Is that your version of a BBQ? or a Pie & Peas 😕
Looks like a lot of fun..

:lol1: … just imagine lots of whisky and everyone in kilts throwing each other around the floor doing some scottish country dancing to music of fiddles and accordians! Ceilidhs are great fun, leave you exhausted!

replace the whisky for a xxxx, the kilts for jeans, and it sounds just like a good ol aussie square dance then. 😛

Hi jill!
It was great to meet you … you look exactly the same in the flesh and every bit as cheery!
Hope you had a great time in the trossachs and I hope my fellow countrymen looked after you! 😀 -
i think that given the choice (and the spare time) that this would have been more my cup of tea than signuk show, looks like ya’ll had a great time, i’d love to do work like this, i’d quite happily take on an apprenticeship with paint, and earn via vinyl in the mean time, maybe in another lifetime !
this past week’s quite ironic really, i’ve always got too much time on my hands, then when i need a little, i dont know which job to be doing next, still mad this week, and long may it cotinue ! !!
Nice new piccy marcella !

Strewth! 😮 I couldn’t do that… If the boys back home had evidence I was seen in a dress, they’d never let me forget it 😳
-
well i got home yesterday around 11am… crashed out… what a f*%^*n week!!!! :lol1: :lol1:
Met loads of brilliant people at the show and in the stirling letterheads meet. i dont know the exact figure of people attending the letterheads meet but there was over 100 rooms booked out in the main hotel to letterhead people and about another 20 rooms at the hotel i was staying in round the corner. obviously not one to a room so the total head count must have been pretty high!ill post again later, have loads of pictures and video footage. and i mean loads :lol1: just need to sift through the lot to see what i will be "allowed" to show :lol1: :lol1:
andrew, i am in "heebie jeebie" mode right now :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:
catch you lot later…. but thank you for a briliant time. the company was the best!

Just add a link to some of my pics and a post I made at Steves site, we had a great time! It always goes so quickly!
Met Rob there, seemed to just get a picture of him from behind, it was a fantastic week for us we really enjoyed ourselves with everybody we met both old and new faces, I met Peter, and Andrew from here I think.
I don’t know where to start really, I guess the first thing is to thank Stewart,Avril, and everybody in Stirlingshire that made us all so welcome and made it such a great meet.
I decided to take Åsa with me and spend a few extra days showing her places we visited as kids when we visited relatives up in that area, the views and scenery are beautiful and we arrived with sunshine which made it all the more enjoyable, I met Stewart on the monday who was putting together the final touches and you could see that it had been a mammoth task, and at times an uphill struggle with the local council.
People started arriving tuesday onwards and it was great to strat bumping into old friends and meeting people off here for the first time. Funny that the written word often fails to show a fraction of the person behind those words….no surprise that there is friction and misunderstanding at times.
The meet got underway and as always there, is so much going on and so many people you want to talk to, and ask questions, and it all seems to go so fast. John Jordan, Dave Smith, and John Studdan wére doing some glass gilding so we started there, was blown away by pictures of their work, such a great priviledge to be around them and get so much help.
Noel Weber and Cam Bortz where gilding Screw-Its letters, Mike Meyer was busy blending, Dave Kynaston was showing scripts and graining techniques, Alan Brindle was showing his skills with transparent paintover aluminium leaf, for fairground art, Tramp Warner and others, Art Shilling, Mark and others were pinstriping, Paul was doing his Heraldry, Doug was carving, there was sandblasting going on, loads of new faces to me from both sides of the pond, tattooing, plus loads more, Stewarts mum keeping us all fed, with her gang, great location great centre, nice little town, unusual hotel
I for one didn’t want to leave, we got back here late last night, and straight into a load of work today.
Made some new great friends and rekindled some old friendships, it was great to see Marcus and Manfred again, meet Jill, Jeff Lang, Tim,Ash, Leeson, and the river/barge painting, and more.
Meeting Duncan from Montana was great too, as was Jack Keith and his wife, Judy, and Jonathan Gough, and more that I can’t put names too just now James Kelly, Wayne Osborne.
Really good to meet up with Scott, and Damian again after Greece, I never got a picture of your trossachs panel Damian , I meant to ask if I could take it outside, but never got around to it.
I’m sure I’ve forgotten other names….but not faces
I have some pics here, alot of shots from inside the hall are yellow and some are blurred, as the lighting was abit like that, haven’t edited so much so there are pics of surrounding area, and us on a greát but killer walk on the last day, which I ended up doing twice, as Åsa lost an earring she got from Sonny, which we found pretty close to the top, talking of Sonny it was great to seehim and Peggy again, and he left his mark on the local bookshop, which they talked about in a very warm way both on the sunday and monday after the meet.
Thanks to everybody, and thanks Dave for a great t shirt design, we had a time I wont forget for along time, it was so nice for us to get away as a couple too no kids just time for each other something that gets overlooked at times with 4 kids and a company to run.
Hope we all meet up again soon!

… very eloquently put and very true!

I’ve just had a look at the great photos there.
Did I recognise the mad Irishman from Caledonian Sun Tattoos in Stirling among those?
I did the windows in his shop and I thought I recognised the face! If so I’m not surprised he’s there…. great artist, his freehand work is superb! -
love the photos henry….that looked one fab meet 😀

-
yes you did Marcella he was doing tattoo’s there his work is amazing, don’t know how he applies his tattoos but saw some just a couple of hour’s after and no redness or sore looking and his designs are brilliant.

Fantastic pic’s Henry thanks for sharing. I think everyone enjoyed themselves despite Fawlty Towers and the huge hearty breakfast! Did the job though even if we did only use the beds for four hours each night, I think the barman was still serving drinks at 4:30am on sunday morning.
I echo your thankyous to stuart and his family for once again puting on a right good meet and looking after everyone.
-
don’t you 3 look smart, thought you were off to a wedding.
Henry, thanks for showing us the photo’s.
