I dont normally watch too many films but I sat through The Wrestler last night and its superb. I wasnt expecting much, I was half expecting it to be a glorified Wrestlmania but its a really good watch.

If you get the chance, watch it.

Paul i thought it was a cracking film, for what the storyline allowed.

As a wrestling fan as a kid, i enjoyed seeing a few familiar faces!!

Mickey Rourke looks scary these days ……. didn’t fancy this movie but according to what I’ve heard it’s definitely worth a watch. My friend gave me a £50 cinema gift card as part of my christmas and as yet I’ve not used any of it …….. maybe that’s one to go see. 🙂

I loved Mickey Rourke in Angel Heart. I just don’t think I could watch his "new" bizarre face even if it’s in a good movie!

Jill, as daft as it sounds his face actually suits the role!

This was a pretty good movie. My brother used to wrestle that fake American crap so I don’t really like it myself. I love the supermarket manager giving him shit about his tights. I used to be the same teasing my brother.

OK, I finally saw this on the plane on the way back home.
I didn’t expect to like it, but it was gritty and even had a bit of humor.
My favorite part was when he was working the deli counter.
    😉
I also watched "The Reader" on the way home and would recommend it to anyone. It was excellent.
Hey, it was an 8-hour flight and I ran out of magazines.
