I say this every year, but it is no less sincere.

Thanks to everyone who have made this place the top place to visit this year.

Thanks again for everyone who made me and Dave so welcome in April. It is a memory Dave and I will cherish for many years to come. The hospitality and friendship shown us Aussies is something you should all be proud of.

My English cricket hat full of signatures takes pride of place in my office, and is a talking point by many confused clients. I often tell people it is personally signed by the English cricket team… I get some funny looks, and comments like ‘which cricketer has the nickname Nik or Marcie?….

The friendship displayed here just amazes me constantly.

To Rob, and everyone behind the scenes, keep up the good work, and to the rest, thanks for all your contributions.

2009 has been a hard year for us all I’m sure, hopefully business will improve in the coming year.

End of the day, we all need to keep putting one foot after the other, and keep moving forward.

Take care all, and I’ll speak to you next year.

    Shane

Ah! You’ll be able to tell us then.

Is 2010 any better than 2009 was?

Happy New Year Shane. Rather frustratingly I came up to NEC for the exhibition but didn’t manage to find you before I left for home although I think I did manage to scrawl something on your hat.

Hope 2010 proves to be a very good year for you Shane, was disappointed that I couldn’t get to the sign show this year as I would have liked to meet you in person, still perhaps you will be able to get over for another show at some point in the future.

The sign show was truly the high point in my year, and getting to meet you Shane, reacquaint myself with other folks from UKSB, staying with Lynn and Peter, then having a visit here from John and Jenny.
Happy New Year, may it be healthy and full of peace and prosperity.
    Love….Jill
(the hangover was not that much fun but it was the worst I’ve ever had and therefore memorable!)

must admit the sign show was the highlight of my year as it brought Shane and Jilly over and for me that was lovely.
Happy new year to everyone and hope it’s a good one for all of us 😀

Well, it’s 2010 here now, but a bit too early to tell if it’s going to be any better than 2009. Plus, I’m too p1ssed to be able to tell the difference.

As stated, a high point was meeting Shane for SignUK, plus getting to see Jill in her native habitat. That was a hell of a holiday, and one I’d like to repeat.

I hope that 2010 will be as good.

Regards and best wishes to all. 😀

John, I think you need to lay off the drink a bit, that’s you been p1ssed every single day this year :lol1:

    Thanks again all,

Yes, spending time with all the guys and gals at SignUK was THE big highlight for me in ’09, more than I could ever explain.

Meeting Jill and Rob, two people I’ve admired from day 1 on these boards was very special to me too.

Way too many individual highlights while I was in the UK to mention here, and a few regrets now that I look back, like not spending more time getting to know more during the show…. but staying with, and experiencing such wonderful hospitality of John and Jenny Childs was also a big thrill for me and Dave. Plus the enlightening and educational discussions with John Childs and Peter Mindham, the sightseeing, generosity and surprises organised by Peter and Lynn, another splendid day and meals with John and Gill Singh after the sign show, and an equally splendid day and meals with Martin, Esther, Alex and Olivia Cole the day before I came home, are memories I’ll have for a long time.

I am actually very shy, and in truth it was pretty hard work for me out of my comfort zone, but I’d do it again in an instant if I’m given another opportunity.

The wife insists that I take her over for a show to meet you lot, which I’ve readily agreed to, so the savings are on as I type. I’ll meet you then Steve & Martin 🙂

    Cheers All. Keep warm.

I can only echo the sentiments above. There are some great people here and I am glad to say that I have met quite a few as well.
    Keep up the good work/chat/banter.
