The 30W GCC Spirit Laser Engraver purchased from Grafityp arrived on Thursday! 😀
Thanks to all UKSB members who gave input regarding our questions about which machine to buy.
Rodney, I finally decided on the Spirit rather than the Explorer one of the main reasons was because of physical space available, an Explorer plus an air purification unit would have been too large for us.
We’ve only had the machine a day and a half and we’re amazed how easy it is to use and the quality of samples/products we’re already producing. Even so I’m sure there will be many more questions being asked along the way 😉
I really have to say a huge thank you to Nigel (Jobe) at Grafityp, he’s been there to answer any questions, spent a great deal of time with us at Sign UK demonstrating the machines and made the whole decision and actual purchase a pleasure – thanks again.
Also, Adam who delivered, installed and trained us on the Laser Engraver was very patient and thorough and only left once he know we were happy and had an understanding of how the machine worked.
I know this is sounding like an award ceremony but we are really pleased with everything from the machine to the service from Grafityp – thanks guys!

I’m sure you’ll discover all sorts of things you can do with it Mark. I still find new ones all the time and I’ve had mine for 5 years !
If you didn’t already know, http://www.Identify.co.uk in Bristol have a really good new range of stuff you can engrave/cut – some cool looking things I thought anyway 😉

Enjoy , The spirit is a great machine.
I know a ton about the machines , drivers , sources , parts , problems etc – all the Gcc’s are similar , dont hesitate to ask of you want any info.
