I think this is a great idea Lorraine. I must admit I do not have a template – but I really should have one.
Casmate has it’s own template – which is pretty limited. I like the way yours has sections describing copyright, date drawn and so on. Also sections for the client to sign off a design.
I should adopt a simialr approach as it is not that unusual for a client on picking up a van to then tell me “oh you’ve got the tel. no. / website/email address wrong” 👿 . Obviously I have no way of knowing these are wrong if the client hasn’t bothered to check my artwork and tell me this before I do the work 🙄 (When this happens – I generally bite my tongue and correct their oversight free of charge). A signature to say a layout has been approved would put the onus on the customer to check that these details are correct.
How about posting your template as an .eps file so I (and any other interested parties) could use it and adapt it for our own use? (Assuming you don’t mind that is) 😀

A nice idea for full members would be signgroups logo added – gives it more clout if the customer knows he’s dealing with more than one sign company potentially (less likely to bugger off to another sign firm with your artwork!)
Also what about PROOF printed accross logo/design to stop or make photocopy harder – used to do that with print proofs.

Good idea to put in the UKSG logo Paul – as you say it helps create the right impression. As long as it doesn’t include the website address (Not sure I want my customers to read some of the things I say about them 😆 😆 😆 )
