Adrian, well done – How do you manage to keep on coming up with the artwork people are looking for?
I can never remember where I ‘ve seen suitable images and often spend ages looking back through CDs and catalogues trying to find a suitable image I know I’ve seen somewhere.
Please pass on any tips you may have for managing image catalogues or is it just down to having a good memory 😀

i have a system, not computerised but manual, every job when it goes into production gets 1 or 2 index cards, the first one has the customer name, price and short job description and off cuts of the vinyl used and date, file name etc, this is then left in the workshop for quick reference for repeat jobs or additions so the vinyls always match etc, 2nd card is produced only if the artwork contains clipart or reusable logos, then filed under that catergory ie Tarmac, diggers, with the customers file name/date this index box is left in the studio, then when a new job comes in requiring a digger i look up digger and a list of customers who have used them is there and i can import it into the new job.. after 7 years of using this system its alot quicker than looking up clipart books, but now and again we have to resort to them, (if using corel draw clipart download a shareware program called romcat you type in a keyword and it displays all clipart from your cd that matches your search can save hours looking through the book) seems to work for us give it a try….
