Ok just thought ide ask how business is?
Things are slowing down kinda early for me this year. Coming up to Christmas it does not help matters. How do you cope or do you normally get allot of business at this time of year? any tips?"The sign guy"

slowing things down here too..always try to hit the holidays with everything done and dusted…we normally close from week before xmas right through till first week of Jan and do lots of celebrating and even some quality sign time. Try new things, sort out the entire work shop, that sort of thing…also try to get together with other local signmakers for a drink etc.
December doesn’t earn that well for me partly ‘cus it’s a short month but partly because I still see xmas as special and try to wind down, shut off and enjoy, reckon I’ve earned it and if I haven’t then it’s too late in the year to do much about it anyway..’course I’ll still be ‘ere on UKSG most days and gettin’ the next demo ready! 🙂

Well if you lot aint got nothing better to do then pop down to London and give us a hand. At the moment there are not enough hours in the day…lol
At this rate we might have to put Christmas back a week. But you know how it is come January we will have nothing better to do than make tea.
Oh well thats the sign trade! -
couldent agree more, were busying away with coaches and vans b4 xmas then as usual making paper chains in january for somet to do…

I am in the Seattle Washington area and ever since I started painting signs in 1976 up to and including now….my sign business has been slow from December to February. And yes it does make it tough to get thru the holidays……..! Nice site you have going on here. Good luck with it. CJ

yeh i think most places slow down at this time of year. unless you have some contract work to keep you busy.
most people that would spend on signs or there vans dont have the cash spare!
so i guess thats why we along with a few other trades suffer at christmas…"oh & merry christmas & a happy new year to all":lol:

i seem to be very busy this year must be the london boat show. always seem to be working on new years day…bet you never find that in scotland eh sam 😀
