    Hi
Does anyone know if there is any software that specialises in Classic and Vintage car outlines, or even particular marques. I have no need for current vehicles, since our market is solely for this particular section.

    Thanks

    Thanks Robert & Brian,

The fact that it is such a limited market has been the problem for a while. At present I have had to resort to quite a few hours of hard graphic graft to get a lot of my artwork. It would have been nice to be able to just get something "off the shelf" so to speak. Especially when it comes down to the more popular classic/historic rally cars.

now i think you have a job on your hands there sharon. 🙂
is it just the images of the cars you need or does it have to be to scale and vectoriesd. have you tried a search on the net. maybe brian from impact signs could help you as he uses these boards also.

    best of luck

I would be surprised if there is such a thing as there is probably a very limited market. We produce outlines for specialised vehicles free for any of our customers that provide good digital photographs. If you have any or can get any we would be happy to have a go at doing them.

    Hi Paul,

Nice, my very first car was a 1968 Austin Mini Cooper, I still have 1 No. Plate, original steering wheel and sumpguard, but it was still a fun car. Now very much into Saabs (all kinds), we’re building a 2dr 99 Turbo to compete in Sprints, it’s a long job isn’t it. Now back on topic, I’m really after something that covers cars from the 60’s through up to GroupB and beyond. I know I’m asking for the earth, but there may just be something out there, you never know.
    Thanks
    Sharon

An idea for you, i was photographing a scale model Metro 6R4 and it dawned on me, why not go down that route for your images, the likes of Tamiya (who manufacture the kits) always have a scaled line drawing on the assembly instructions inc front, sides, back and roof…….

you should be able to find most historics like that….
