    Hi all,
I’ve just been given a broken neon sign by a friend that would look good in my workshop if I can get it repaired – needs a small section of tube replaced and gassing up!
    Anyone got any contacts?
Or can any members do this? – also need a source for neon – just the glass bent to order – I can do the installation myself.
    Thanks
    Joe.

    hi joe
not sure really mate. off the top of my head i dont think any members actually manufacture neon although i think a few sell it or maintain it. not what your looking for i would think.
alex is a member hes from falcon graphics & he may know a company. (he has a link in members links)
then again paul davenport may do it. in fact if he doesnt im sure he will be able to sort you on your question. not much in that side of the business he doesnt know about.

    Thanks paul,
I’m in bristol. I spoge to the guy in the other reply to this post about repairing it. He said it wasn’t worth fixing…it’s a miller pilsner sign with purple ink on the glass tubing ( at least he said it was ink or something ) and he told me that if it’s heated to repair it , the area near the repair will go black…….shame though, it’s a nice looking sign that would’ve looked good on the shop wall. I
I could do with a reasonably priced neon contact anyway Paul, if ya got one.
    cheers

joe, get a new section done, its a shame to chuck something like that, i spent a good few months restoring an old american casino sign which had enamel and lead glass and all sorts of tricky stuff on it, loked really good when it was finished….

i will forward you some contacts …
