For anyone using silicon sheets or the teflon sheet that lasts a lot longer but not forever, did you know you can use the backing paper from normal sign vinyl, it even gives a nice glossy finish to the vinyl after a second press once the carrier is removed. and single piece also lasts ages.
at £30 for 500 sheets of silicon paper or a tenner for the teflon sheet it does a pretty good job seeing as its going to be discarded anyway.

Also, for anyone that uses the Ultra cut/Pu/ etc T shirt vinyl, (IE the really sticky backed stuff) and stores pre cut designs ready for pressing,
the backing paper from vinyl does a good job of keeping the different designs apart and from sticking together, its non stick and nice and stiff so wont bend like silicon paper or grease proof
I just place my designs on a sheet of that, then put the next sheet over the top, no more stuck together designs and ruined vinyl.

I use backing paper & dispose after each press when applying tectile vinyl to multi coloured dye sub football shirts other wise you can get contamination on to the teflon sheet from the ink seeping out of the shirt

Yep, been using it for years, and find the same as Kevin, the colour from sport shirts comes off on to the paper!

    Great tip

    Cheers

Should have mentioned that on the dye subbed sports shirts it can, yes
but for normal T shirt printing etc its fine.
Always change the paper each and every time bottom and top when pressing sublimated stuff
