Supplier of height restriction chimes?

anyone know of a supplier for height restriction dangling chimes as used on building sites with low cables etc and entrances to tunnelsKev

not exactly sure what you mean mate… do you mean the signs with lengths of chain hanging from them with hieght restrictions?

similar but in my neck of the woods they are normally tubes that clang or chime when they are hitKev

i was thinking more the big ones you get going into tunnels etc with the chain hanging down from the signs. was gonna say it would be easily made… guess im way off :lol1:

I’ve never did any, but i’ve seen some around here that are Literally PVC Pipe hanging from chains.
don’t see any reason why that wouldn’t work unless there’s an issue with vinyl sticking to PVC…?

4×4 box section steel, is what they use in the entrance to the blackwall tunnel, not only do they chime, but they smash the hell out of the trailer.
It is a last resort though, they have all the signs, then a beam which turns on a red light, if that fails they steel mmakes the driver wake up before he damages the tunnel entrance.Peter

will probably end up making my own with pvc pipe etc was just hoping that i could have brought some off the shelf.Kev

Peter, I was lead to believe by a Blackwall tunnel maintenance worker that some were filled with concrete as well :lol1:
