Just to be sure that I’m not only looking after old mates; Halo are another supplier of this type of thing but I don’t have contact details for them. Do a bit of searching.

    Now, where’s my eels…..

:lol1: :lol1: Like a good northerner, I eat me pies every night nowadays with a curried pie on Friday and a roast pie on Sundays 😀

Nipping back to what Lee was on about, do doctors have to have their vehicles done with this checkered stuff? Ie if a doctor is on call, can they go in a regular car, or does it have to be lettered up similar to a ambulance or? Just interested.

    Cheers, Dewi

I’ve never done a doctor’s car. They usually just have a magnetic green light for the roof.

Battenberg kits are primarily for the protection of the vehicle driver at hazardous locations – like motorways etc. as they light up like a chrimbo tree. I suppose doctors are called to emergencies and need the visual presence on the road to get where they are going as quick as possible, makes sense. Plus they need to get to the golf club on time.

Best bet in the UK is Rennicks , they offer a trade service for this sort of thing , based in Runcorn 01928 579966 , they supply Nikalite reflective film from Nippon Carbide in China i think, if they cant supply kits in small quantities they will certainly put you intouch with one of their customers who can.

    Hi

Thanks for the info and the phone numbers. I’ll phone them tomorrow. These are for hospital doctors cars and not your local GP.

    thanks for your help

LJ, Yes I did, very good. 🙂

Lee, what material are the kits required in? The reason I ask is that engineering grade is something you could possibly do yourself. Not much fun if you’re new to it, but possible. If it’s one of the high conspicuity materials like Diamond Grade or Avery EV let someone else make them for you, but prepare yourself for a shock on the price – Some of these materials are an arm and a leg, and another arm.

Hospital cars, I know what you mean now. They’re the useful ones that speed surgeons inbetween hospital to hospital, I owe my life (quite literally) to one of those cars!

The only thing that bugs me about these cars around here, they’re all Volvos! 😮

    Hi Andy

These are for a health authority and one, if I get the work, that will have to done on site, so I’m looking for the easiest option.

I’m not sure if price would be an issue because we would have to do there logo in Pantone colour vinyls.

    I’ll keep you posted.
