  • Supplier of cream curtain vinyl

    Hello.

I’ve done a few lorry curtains now and have used APA vinyl. But they don’t supply a cream vinyl. Does anybody know any other suppliers of curtain vinyl? Or would the only other option be to get it printed and cut?

It’s a regular customer that sends alot of work my way so would like to get it done right.

    Any ideas welcome

    Thanks

    Martin

you could revert to the old way mate.
cut the vinyl as a stencil in "stencil" vinyl… thick and cheap.
then roller in the text with Apollo screen inks.
you will get a tin of ink which goes "miles" for about £15 and a tin of thinner for same.
mix till a slightly thinner consistency than cream and apply with a short hair 4 inch roller. very easy and cheap to do.

    Hi Rob

Am a car painter at trade so i could easy spray paint it. But would be worried about the flex in the curtain cracking the paint?

no paint wont take to it mate, but you CAN put the Apollo or Serical INK in the spray gun. Apollo ink is much better priced.
if you can, its better spraying it because it cures/dries in about a minute.

i used to do this allot with big banners for "Glasgow on Ice" when they stipulated odd colours. years before we had a printer.

I had a quick google and seen that there is a PPG product that is designed for painting curtains. Will speak to our paint rep on Thursday to see what the price is like to compare.

    Thanks Rob

Ink is so much better mate and dries fast as hell.
once its on its staying on, never flakes or peals.
very cheap too… goes much further than paint will.
